Ok, so my plan, is lets make a set by a group effort where we kind of make a game out of it. How this game will work is someone will first create a card they think is balanced, then give colors, and one card type, for the next person to make.
For instance I could make this card:
(Name Goes Here) U Instant Counter target Legendary Spell
Then say "Next person make a URW Sorcery" Now the next person makes a U/R/W Sorcery, and the mana cost, and effect, and other card types (if any) are up to that person
Im thinking once we hit 249 cards we will call it, then start giving suggestions on cards until we agree that all the cards are balanced.
That being said, I have talked to Vera and Caitlin about possibly doing a draft of it once we are done, so I would try keeping the set serious, and not Overpowered.
Lastly, remember which letters are for which colors U- Blue B- Black R- Red G- Green W- White Numbers- Colorless mana
Now that said, Ill start I guess
Fluxling URGBW Creature- Shapeshifter W: Target player gains 3 life. R: Fluxling gains double strike until end of turn. B: Fluxling gains fear until end of turn. U: Return Fluxling to its owners hand. G: Fluxling gains Hexproof until end of turn. 1: Fluxling gets +1/-1 until end of turn. 1: Fluxling gets -1/+1 until end of turn. 3/3
Next person make a Red Artifact

3: Put a 1/1 token in to play. If R was spent this was, that token is a red Dragon. If B was spent this way, that token is a black Demon. If W was spent this way, that token is a white Angel. (This token has all colors and creature types that apply.)

1) I think we guessed, but I like the effect. Nice concept. Also, you can edit the original post using the "modify" button at the top of the post.
2) War-Rhyme Poet 2(R/W)(R/W)
Creature- Loxodon Rogue
Whenever War-Rhyme Poet attacks, you may search your library fro a creature card that shares a name with another creature on the battlefield. If you do, put it into your hand, shuffle your library, and War-Rhyme Poet deals no combat damage this turn.

Whenever a creature would enter the battlefield, exile it instead. Put X time counters on it, where X is chosen by its owner. During its owner's upkeep, remove a time counter from it. Then, if there are no time counters on it, put it onto the battlefield under its owner's control with a number of +1/+1 counters equal to the original number of time counters that were placed on it.
Next, make a simple red creature?
