So, I was thinking, and I wanted to get a discussion started, what do you feel makes a great gaming space? Is it a solid minis or RP table? Comfortable chairs? Plenty of amenities (like coffee or mountain dew!) within arms reach? I think this question could be pretty nuanced if you wanted it to be. I'm interested to hear your thoughts!

Hm... What about lighting? Good lighting is important, it can make or break a room. But would you go with lower, mood lighting, or bright, day-like lights?

For lighting I would opine that if it's a multi-game environment like your annex, than bright enough for everybody is the way to go. If it's a single game environment I would go with dimmable lighting, maybe some good side lights for reading.

So, Ceiling, Wall, and Floor, right? Isn't that the model they tell you to go with for good whole room lighting in interior design circles?

lol. I don't think floor is really worth it. Maybe ceiling for the bright room, and side lamps for the dimmable room. I'd not mix both unless you want to throw money at lighting.

What about flooring? Does it matter? Would you want soft carpet or something harder that would be easier to clean up?
